Flames Days begins with check-in, residence hall move-in, dinner, a hall meeting, and New Flame Mixer. Students and families are welcomed into the community, learn about campus living, and start building connections through food, fun, and themed mocktails
Sunday features the CSM Farmer’s Market and the Masquerade Party. Students can make bouquets, plant succulents, create stuffed animals, then enjoy karaoke, dancing, and Bridgerton-inspired fun while celebrating the start of their CSM experience.
Monday features mandatory New Student Orientation with helpful tips for success, plus lunch and swag. The day ends with Grocery Bingo and Game Night, giving students a fun way to connect through games, popcorn, prizes, and community
Tuesday includes Convocation, which officially begins the CSM college experience. It also features a crafty tea event and the Community Crawl, where students enjoy treats, create keepsakes, and explore Aksarben businesses with CSM discounts.
Wednesday starts with Flames First Bite for the first day of classes, offering swag, photo booth fun, supplies, muffins, and coffee. Later, students can explore clubs at the Involvement Fair and celebrate at the Flames Block Party.
Thursday’s Music Bingo offers a high-energy night of musical bingo, singing, and friendly competition. Students can test their song knowledge, win prizes, and enjoy a lively social event with friends
Friday’s Caffeine Boost gives students a free drink from Christina’s Place while supplies last. The first 50 students to order also receive a free $5 drink, making it a simple morning perk
Saturday’s Movie Matinee lets students stop by the SLO for a free movie ticket. It’s a relaxed, low-key chance to enjoy a movie and take a break during Flames Days.
Sunday ends Flames Days with a walk to the Aksarben Farmer’s Market alongside Student Orientation Staff. It’s a casual, community-building outing and a friendly way to wrap up the week.
