General Background
Dr. Mary Smith transitioned from working primarily in inpatient Acute Rehabilitation to full time occupational therapy faculty in 2010. She is an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy and the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator at the College of Saint Mary. Her scholarly interests center on occupational therapy education and instructional design. This is exemplified by her dissertation research on professional thinking behaviors and her ongoing work with the Visualize Whole-Self Model, an innovative instructional design framework for OT education. She also maintains interest in neuroscience and neurorehabilitation.
