Applying for Housing
Living on campus is an important part of the first‑year experience at the College of Saint Mary. Our residence halls provide a supportive, welcoming environment where students can build community, focus on their studies, and feel at home.
Follow the steps below to complete your housing process for Fall 2026.
Step 1: Apply for Housing

Step 2: Submit Your Housing Deposit

- The housing deposit link will be available on the confirmation page after your application is submitted.
- Your housing application is not considered complete until the deposit is received.
Step 3: Select a Roommate Using RoomeeZ
Once your housing deposit is complete, you can begin the roommate selection process.
- Create a RoomeeZ profile to connect with other first‑year students.
- Use the platform to find a compatible roommate based on lifestyle preferences and interests.
- Final roommate selections should be made by June 1, 2026.
Step 4: Receive Move‑In Information

- Students who apply after May 30 will receive move‑in details on a rolling basis after June 15.
National research confirms that students living on campus make better use of campus resources, have higher grade point average, pass more classes, graduate with greater frequency within four years, and are more likely to become involved with the campus community. They also express greater satisfaction with their undergraduate experience, are more likely to graduate from the college they enroll in as freshmen, save money, time, and energy and show greater gains in self-esteem, self-confidence, and other developments toward healthy adulthood.
Due to health and safety issues, only fish (tank must be 10 gallons or less) are allowed in the residence halls. Electric tanks, however, are not allowed.
Students who require an accommodation for either an ESA or service animal may request that through our Student Accessibility Services Coordinator at [email protected].
- Residents are permitted to have one refrigerator (6.0 cubic feet or less) and one microwave (700 watts or less) per room.
- Coffee pot/Keurig
Living on campus is required for all first- and second-year full-time undergraduate students. Our residence halls are designed to help you build community, form lasting friendships, and stay connected to campus life, academics, and support resources right where you live. We believe living on campus plays a key role in student success and belonging. However, students who feel they have unique circumstances may request a housing exemption by submitting a written request via email to the Director of Residence Life & Housing, at reslife@csm.edu.
There are not specific scholarships available for room and board. CSM creates an environment of belonging and offers numerous scholarships for young women from all walks of life. Yes, a meal plan also known as “board” is required for every residential student. The meal plan includes 19 meals a week + $50 in flex dollars to be used at Christina’s Place which offers We Proudly Brew Starbucks coffee and grab and go items.
While we don’t have exact numbers on how many students move off campus after two years, students may choose to remain on campus because of the convenience, support services, and sense of community. Others might consider transitioning to off-campus housing depending on personal preference or family needs. Juniors and seniors who choose to remain on campus have the opportunity to select single rooms or live in Stevens Hall with suite-style housing.
