Living Faith Through Service
Faith and service are part of everyday life at CSM. Rooted in the Mercy tradition, students are encouraged to grow spiritually, reflect on their values, and put those values into action through service. Whether supporting the Omaha community or engaging in campus initiatives, students make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. CSM welcomes students of all faith backgrounds, offering opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth at every stage of your journey.

Our Mission to Serve
In support of the works, values, and aspirations of the Sisters of Mercy, CSM provides opportunities for students to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. Through partnerships across the Omaha community, students connect their academic interests to real-world experiences that build confidence, deepen empathy, and prepare them to address todayโs needs.
Spirit of Service Day is a campus-wide tradition that began in 1997 where students, faculty, staff, and alumni come together to serve the Omaha community. Volunteers partner with local organizations on a variety of projects, putting CSMโs mission into action. Itโs a day focused on giving back, building connections, and making a meaningful impact beyond campus.
