Simple Steps to Apply
We’ve designed the application process to be simple, supportive and transparent so you always know what comes next and feel confident taking the next step.
Complete our straightforward online application. It takes about 15–20 minutes to finish, and there’s no unnecessary paperwork. We review applications on a rolling basis, so you can apply when you’re ready.
Ask your high school to send us your official transcript. This helps us understand your academic preparation and ensures we can award the most accurate scholarship package possible.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for federal, state and institutional aid. Filing the FAFSA ensures you receive the full financial aid package available to you.
Be sure to include College of Saint Mary’s federal school code (002540) to ensure your application sent to us.
Every admitted undergraduate student receives a merit scholarship ranging from $12,000 to $17,000 per year. Awards are based on academic achievement and are applied directly to tuition.
In addition to merit scholarships, students may qualify for need-based grants, program-specific awards and outside scholarships. We are committed to making your education affordable and transparent, so you understand your investment from the start.
Ready to make it official? Submit your enrollment deposit to confirm your place in the incoming class. Once your deposit is received, you’ll gain access to next steps like academic advising, housing selection and orientation planning.
Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Applicants for admission are evaluated based on the following criteria to gain full admission.
- High school record of cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. An applicant for a degree program must have graduated or will have graduated with 16 high school units from an accredited high school. The college preparatory program is strongly recommended to high school students. Ordinarily this program includes four years of English and two years of social studies, science, and mathematics.
- College/university record of cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, if applicable.
Applicants who do not meet the following criteria and show potential for success may be reviewed for an alternate admissions pathway.
Students who have successfully completed the General Education Development Test (GED) and have not accumulated at least 12 collegiate level semester hours credit at a regionally accredited institution with a 2.5 GPA or better will follow the Alternate Admissions Pathway.
